My friends accuse me of having undiscerning taste buds, so you're not going to see me doing many restaurant reviews here. (In other words, I'll eat anything.)

But I must say a few words about Clancy's Crab Broiler because I've been there for Thanksgiving dinner two years in a row now. And no matter how unsophisticated I may be when it comes to food, may I entice you with the appropriately named "Bucket o' Crab," a bunch of Alaskan snow crab legs served to you in a big gray pail?

But that's not really what I wanted to tell you about. If you eat at Clancy's on Christmas Eve (they're closed Christmas Day), they'll give you a gift certificate in the amount of whatever you spend on your meal that day and you can use the gift certificate up to six months later. Can you believe that?! They'll match your bill dollar for dollar!

Reservations for Christmas Eve fill up fast (I missed out last year), so call now if you're interested. I booked my table already, and, for someone with crappy taste buds, my mouth is already watering.

Oh my god, their website is an eyesore, but I guess it's okay because they're known for their seafood, not their tech skills.

Like any good christian or jew, I do not partake in seafood.

Welcome to the (very small) Glendale Blogosphere. I haven't been to Clancy's since my high school days (and NO, little chitlins, we will not discuss how long ago that really was), but this deal might get me out of MY apartment and get out to eat.

Hi, Kendtyl, did you know that Blogger lists hundreds of people with blogs in Glendale? That's an insanely high number for such a small city. This town is full of people who just can't keep to themselves! :)

Clancy's is one of my favorites -- a definite request on the rare occasion when I am home with the family. My mouth is watering just thinking about those rolls....mmmmmmmm

I love Clancy's! Especially their cedar plank salmon and acorn squash! How can you not love a place that has sawdust on the floor and weekday specials? Now that I know about Christmas Eve, we'll just have to plan ahead.

Aurora, OMG, those hush puppies with the honey butter are insanely good. (Healthy? Well...let's not talk about that.

Conny, I have to look into the specials. I was surfing their website, and it looks like they have a lot of good deals.

I live on the same street as Clancy's, and it always seems like there's a movie or tv show shooting there. Do you know which movies of tv show it is? It's driving me insane!

Hi, Anonymous, one show that they seem to shoot pretty often in Glendale is "Criminal Minds." (They've been in a few locations around where I live.) So maybe it's the same show around Clancy's? Next time you see them, ask a security guard. They're usually pretty low-key and friendly.
